Hi, my name is Laura and I love to cook. I’ve had a food blog in some form or another for nearly a decade and I have been cooking for most of my adult life.
The cooking lessons I offer were born after so many friends asked me to make all this beautiful food for them. “Hey I saw you meal-prepping this weekend, can you come do it for me?” My answer was no, but I’d be happy to help you learn. Give a man a fish, or teach him to fish, ya know?
People often ask how I got so good in the kitchen and my answer is always the same: “I’m Italian.” It’s in my blood. I was blessed with two Italian grandmothers known for their noodles and meatballs.
But you won’t find any meatballs in my kitchen, unless they’re made of lentils and mushrooms or something else weird. I do occasionally eat meat, but I’m a mostly plant-based cook. Those are the kinds of recipes I make and the skills I teach — because making crumbled tofu taste good or cooking a batch of dried beans might seem daunting. Don’t worry, I’ve got you, we’re in this together.
