I say Disneyland, you say… Churros! Amirite? No I’m not going to Disneyland, but I do have one hell of a churros craving. The thing is — just the sight of those things makes me lightheaded from the sugar. Clearly, something needed to be done. Clearly that thing was paleo granola.
People are drinking bone broth for breakfast lunch and dinner and saying it cured their gastrointestinal problems and gave them great skin — so of course I tried it. For two weeks. these might be the best black bean brownies I’ve ever made. they are so chocolatey and gooey and that hidden dollop of salted date caramel hiding in the middle really takes it over the top. they’re an excuse to make something decadent and secretly not so for your honey or your Galentines or yourself.
when it’s right, it’s right. I saw a post on Instagram this week that said when it’s the right door for you it will just swing open. I commented, “thank you, perfectly timed, thank you so much.” I struggle with trusting the timing of my life. even after having gotten this far through swinging doors. I’ve banged on quite if few that wouldn’t budge, though. this is what I remembered as these perfect little corn muffins popped right out of the pan.
very winter. much cold. it was colder in LA than it was in DC some days this week… because DC saw the 60s, and somehow we saw the 40s. even though I’ve mostly left the colder climate, my body is slow to adjust. it insists this is WINTER, get-cozy-stay-in-bed-hibernate winter! even if the highs were in the 70s this weekend. well, okay then.
